Sentry was originally founded in 1995 by Roy & Mark Underwood. They
started with the idea that UV could be designed to utilize less space.
After looking at several ideas and designs they came up with the idea
that reflecting invisible was possible. In giving thought to Ronald
Reagan's concept of reflecting light/laser beam off a mirror in space and
knocking out missiles quite a distance from the mirror then there was
merit to reflecting UV light also. In a test project with NASA in 2000
their theory became reality. They worked with NASA on the water
recovery filters for the space station prototype and out performed all
UV's tested due to reflection. This began a series of ultraviolet models
that are simple, smaller and straight forward, but very effective.
Sentry's concept of no frills or limited frills makes Sentry UV's highly
desirable by many pool owners and all the service technicians in the
several industries that Sentry services. Never being completely
satisfied with their accomplishments Roy & Mark using their creative
skills, have designed UV technology for other applications. Their thinking
is very GREEN and good for the planet and good for mankind. So, continue
to look for creative new designs from Sentry and at prices that
Industries and residences across the planet will enjoy for many years to
come.
